The Murphy Institute offers in partnership with CUNY's School of Professional Studies, Queens College and other partners, undergraduate and graduate degree programs and certificates to meet the educational needs and of workers and the workforce development needs of the city.  We offer degree programs and certificate programs in three areas:

Labor Studies
Urban Studies
Union Specific

Union members can take classes at our midtown location in Urban Studies, Labor Studies and pursue union-specific certificates and programs both at our midtown location and through other CUNY colleges. 

Those interested in our satellite programs at Queens College, the College of Staten Island, Lehman College, City College, Brooklyn College and New York City College of Technology (City Tech) have access to hundreds of other programs as well through
our Gateway Services.  Union members can select from over 1,200 CUNY degree programs to meet their diverse professional goals and interests, including health education, construction, computer science, business and engineering.
